In the UK, they announced that a Ministry of Defense database containing personal data of military personnel had been hacked.
The government does not directly name the country involved in the hack, but according to Sky News, it is China. Hackers attacked the payroll systems of active military personnel and some veterans. Mostly names and bank details were revealed.
Today, Members of Parliament will be told about the large-scale data leak, and Defense Minister Grant Shapps is also expected to speak. China could be accused of two or three hacking attempts against Defense Ministry employees.
It is noted that the ministry has been working hard over the past 72 hours to understand the scale of the hack.
