New norms and fines

Since the entry into force of the law on mobilization in Ukraine, fines for violating military registration rules have been significantly increased. The head of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Committee on Law Enforcement Activities, Sergei Ionushas, presented new penalties at a briefing. According to these changes, for violation of military registration rules during a special period, a fine of from 17 thousand to 25,500 hryvnia for individuals and from 34 thousand to 59,500 hryvnia for enterprises is provided.

Multiple violations and fines

Jonoushas stressed that fines can be imposed repeatedly for different types of violations. This can be in a variety of situations, including failure to provide or change information about yourself, as well as failure to report the birth of a child or change in marital status. Therefore, fines can be imposed even several times for different violations.

Timing and Consequences

It is important to note that if a person liable for military service does not update his data within two months after the law on mobilization comes into force, he faces a fine of 17 to 25,500 hryvnia. This period expires after May 18th. Therefore, it is important to update your information promptly to avoid penalties.
