The evacuation of people has begun from Volchansk and neighboring settlements in the Kharkov region, as the city is subject to massive attacks by the Russian armed forces. The head of the Volchansk city military administration, Tamaz Gambarashvili, said that most residents leave their homes on their own, but they are receiving assistance from the police and volunteers.
Threat from the sky and land
Its residents are suffering under Russian shelling of the city. The destruction is becoming severe, despite the lack of information about deaths and injuries. Gambarashvili emphasized that the attacks were carried out from various types of weapons, including KABs, artillery and multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS).
Fighting the offensive
The situation in the north of the Kharkov region remains tense. The Russian military has intensified its attacks, using various types of weapons. However, Ukrainian forces successfully repulse attempts by sabotage and reconnaissance groups to break through the border. At the same time, the head of the regional military administration, Oleg Sinegubov, assured that the Russian group in this direction does not pose an immediate threat to Kharkov.
