“We will definitely stand”: battalion commander of the 92nd Mechanized Brigade Fedorenko - about the situation in the Kharkov region

The Ukrainian Armed Forces expect that in the Kharkov region the enemy will intensify strike and assault operations, pull up reserves and regroup. The commander of the Achilles BpAk Battalion of the 92nd Separate Assault Brigade named after Koshevoy Ataman Ivan Sirko, Yuri Fedorenko, said this on the air of Espresso.
According to him, the enemy has a small “backlash” in time - a month and a half, when the Defense Forces will receive the maximum amount of funds as part of combined arms assistance.
“Then in most segments we will be able to deprive the enemy of the opportunity to carry out strike and assault operations. That is why the enemy will be quite active in carrying out strike and assault operations in the Kharkov region for the next month and a half,” the military man noted.
He emphasized that this needs to be understood, in particular by Kharkiv residents who live in the city.
“You need to listen to the sirens, be as attentive and careful as possible, avoid crowded places and still try to take care of yourself, from the point of view of the safety plan. Everyone is already accustomed to war, accustomed to arrivals, but you always need to head for shelter,” - called Fedorenko.
He also believes that the Russians intend to completely destroy Ukrainian statehood. At the same time, the enemy has a gradual occupation of Ukrainian territories. At the same time, Donetsk and Lugansk remain priority areas for the enemy.
“In order for the enemy, in his opinion, to move as actively as possible in the Donetsk and Lugansk regions, a certain amount of forces and assets that took part in the hostilities in these directions needed to be pulled to another place. Information propaganda in the Russian Federation supports this, they say Kharkov "is a very important city. Therefore, they began to cross the state border and storm positions in the Kharkov region. For us, this is also an extremely important strategic city. Therefore, one way or another, the Defense Forces will use reserves there," says the battalion commander of the 92nd Mechanized Brigade.
At the same time, the military predicts that the enemy will not have significant tactical successes on the battlefield.
“We were preparing to meet the enemy. This concerns engineering and fortification structures and the number of forces and means that are involved in the defense of the Kharkov region. Also, due to international military assistance, we will be able to hit the enemy’s main assets more thoroughly. And this is aviation that uses controlled air bombs, various launchers that fire both the city of Kharkov and the front-line territory. Therefore, it will be difficult, but we will definitely survive,” Fedorenko assured.
