Serviceman Roman Sinitsyn, who was previously responsible for the military direction at Sergei Pritula’s foundation, told how he joined the army and called for replacing the defenders who were tired over the years.
The former volunteer himself now serves in the aerial reconnaissance unit. They serve completely different UAVs - from FPV drones to operational-tactical level aircraft-type drones. Sinitsyn spoke about this in an interview with Ukrainskaya Pravda.
“Specifically, I am engaged in reconnaissance, and this is called objective control of fire damage, adjustment of our artillery weapons: barrel artillery, Himars, FPV. In a word, everything that can kill Russians,” he explained.
According to Sinitsyn, he was recruited from the TCC when he was in positions near Marinka. At that time, he was still volunteering at the foundation, but he went to see Pavel Petrichenko, an activist and junior sergeant of the 59th separate motorized infantry brigade, who died a month ago.
“We threw grenades at positions from Mavik at the Russians in the Staromikhailovka area. At that time they called me and said: “You need to show up and update your data tomorrow at 9 am.” I say that I can’t talk because I’m busy . Then I took a photo of this “Mavik” and said that I couldn’t come so quickly. I asked him to write an SMS, saying that when... They wrote to Viber officially that “in case of no-show...” and further explained in the text. that I was in Donbass and arrived two or three days in advance. They immediately asked me: “Are you maybe fighting? Do we have some kind of error here? So as not to mobilize twice." I say no. That’s what happened," the military man recalls.
Then he mobilized to the part he wanted. According to Sinitsyn, now this is not a problem at all, since many units recruit people through centers.
“I now travel a lot around the country, in every city there is a lot of outdoor advertising, where not only media units like “Azov”, “Third Assault”, “Da Vinci Wolves” recruit people through their centers. This is already done by mechanized brigades - the 59th , 93. In fact, a trip to the TCC or a summons is not scary. This does not mean that you will definitely die or be injured. Many of these narratives are thrown here by the Russians. And this is a deliberate policy in order to disrupt our mobilization activities. ", the defender explained.
He noted that if the Russian information campaign succeeds, the Ukrainian Armed Forces will lack people, and therefore they will lose and lose territories. Sinitsyn noted that in the army there are a lot of professions that are not related to combat operations, but to the maintenance of equipment, logistics processes, and paperwork at headquarters.
“It won’t go, it won’t fly, it won’t refuel unless someone gets a bunch of papers, a bunch of signatures, visas, approvals, and so on. That’s how it works. Now there aren’t enough people. We’ve been fighting for more than two years and it’s very difficult.” Those people thanks to whom the country survived at the beginning of the invasion are the volunteers who went en masse to the military registration and enlistment offices, and the military personnel who were ready and who went through the ATO - they, frankly speaking, were tired somewhere, and somewhere they were wounded. , somewhere they are no longer there, somewhere people are simply melting. I say it as it is. Because living at this pace for more than two years is very difficult. That is, there may already be psychological problems. Therefore, people need to be replaced,” - the fighter emphasized.
In his opinion, in Ukraine there is an opportunity to replace the current military, since there are a lot of people who have not yet mobilized. However, they are afraid and some do not even leave the house.
“We are talking about the existence of us as a nation, as a state, about your home. Because if the Russians come here, then it will no longer be possible to live as before. Some people have the illusion that they will be able to live normally - like, the occupiers will come, the government will change , they say, everything is ok. Such people should talk to those who were imprisoned in the Kherson region, Chernihiv region, etc. If someone thinks that the occupiers will persecute only activists and politicians, then no, they will persecute everyone they want. I don’t like it. Somewhere I showed a pro-Ukrainian position - you go to the basement. This is actually a terrible story, and we must prevent it. This is the responsibility of every man,” Sinitsyn concluded.
