On Sunday, May 26, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) attacked the city of Rafah in southern Gaza and killed two Hamas commanders. The liquidated commanders are responsible for terrorist attacks in the West Bank.

According to The Times of Israel, citing the IDF, the strike killed the commander of the so-called Hamas headquarters in the West Bank and another senior official of the terrorist group.

The Hamas headquarters in the West Bank is a branch of the Palestinian group responsible for preparing attacks against Israel from the West Bank and its territories.

Meanwhile, Gaza's Hamas-controlled health ministry says the strike killed about 35 civilians.

The Israeli army says the strike was carried out based on "accurate intelligence." At the same time, it is noted that the strike and the fire it caused led to civilian casualties.
