In the summer and during the next heating season, the energy situation will be difficult, but the apocalypse should not be expected. Director of the Energy Research Center Alexander Kharchenko stated this in an interview with OBOZ.TALK.

"There will be no apocalypse. It will be difficult. Objectively, it will be difficult. Both in July and early August, I think, restrictions will be very significant. Due to repair campaigns and due to high consumption during the heat. We are talking about what can there will be no electricity for 5-6 hours a day,” the expert noted.

According to him, these restrictions will apply to almost everyone. And in winter the situation will be approximately the same.

“Everything depends in winter on how much we have time to restore generating capacity. But first, I would prepare for a lack of electricity for at least 4-6 hours a day. Heating, water supply, sewerage will work. And all critical infrastructure will work,” Kharchenko emphasized .
