Blackouts will be shorter: when the government can make a fateful decision

The Government of Ukraine is working to significantly reduce the list of consumers with guaranteed electricity supply, said Advisor to the Prime Minister of Ukraine on Energy Issues Yuriy Boyko.
According to him, in conditions when there will be a guaranteed shortage of electrical energy, the issue of fair distribution of this volume comes to the fore.
“We are now at the final stage of work to optimize the list of consumers with guaranteed electricity supply. Based on the results of the work, this list should be significantly reduced,” Boyko said on KYIV24.
He explained that the corresponding solution will make it possible to distribute electricity limits even more evenly. On the one hand, this should lead to a larger range of consumers who are covered by these graphs. But at the same time, this will lead to a reduction in the duration of such outages.
“I expect that a decision on this matter will be made tomorrow,” added the adviser to the prime minister.
