The position of the United States of America regarding the use of long-range weapons on the territory of the Russian Federation has not changed.

This was stated by Pentagon Speaker Patrick Ryder during a briefing. He was asked whether easing restrictions on the use of long-range weapons by the Ukrainian army was discussed during yesterday's meeting between the Ukrainian and US defense ministers.

"We cannot provide any specific data on this matter, other than that our policy on the use of long-range weapons in Russia has not changed. That is, again, our policy is that the long-range weapons that we provide to Ukraine are intended for use within the sovereign territory of Ukraine," he said.

When asked if this concerns occupied Crimea, Ryder recalled that the peninsula is part of Ukraine.
