On July 8, Russian occupation forces launched a missile attack on Kyiv. The Okhmatdyt children's hospital came under enemy fire, Suspilne reports.
The mayor of Kyiv, Vitaliy Klitschko, also reported that one of the premises of the children's medical institution had been hit.
And the head of the Presidential Office, Andrei Yermak, wrote that “the Russians deliberately hit children today.”
“A children’s hospital, a targeted attack by the Russians,” added Ermak.
A little later, information about getting into Okhmatdyt was confirmed by the Kyiv City Military Administration. They also noted that there was damage in several areas of the capital. In the Solomensky district, an office building was damaged, in Goloseevsky, debris fell near a residential building, in Dneprovsky, debris was burning in a residential building. Also in the Darnytsky district, a private house was damaged, and in Desnyansky a house was on fire.
“All operational services are working at the scene of the incident. As of this minute, it is preliminary known that 5 people died. The information is being clarified,” the KGVA statement says.
A little later, the Ministry of Health and Andrey Ermak showed the consequences of the enemy attack on Okhmatdyt.
According to Klitschko, 11 people were injured in different areas of Kyiv, 8 of them were hospitalized.
