Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, during a meeting with President Vladimir Zelensky, announced an additional package of military support worth more than $360 million.
According to the Office of the President, the head of the Canadian government and Zelensky condemned the massive Russian missile attack and the attack on the Okhmatdyt children's hospital. According to Trudeau, Canada is ready to provide the necessary medical support to the victims.
“It is very important for our people to hear this. Thank you for your help, for the additional defense package. This will strengthen our heroes on the battlefield,” the Ukrainian leader noted.
During the meeting, politicians also discussed Ukraine's defense needs and coordinated cooperation within the fighter coalition. Zelensky noted the need to expand training missions for Ukrainian pilots.
“The parties exchanged views on the possibility of additional training for Ukrainian pilots on Canadian flight simulators and holding one of the thematic meetings in Canada following the results of the first Peace Summit,” the presidential press service added.
