On July 13 and 14, the Defense Forces carried out local counterattacks north and northeast of Kharkov and retook some positions in Volchansk.
According to the ISW Institute for the Study of War, citing an analysis of geolocation footage, a Chechen unit is fighting against the Ukrainians in this direction.
Footage dated July 14 shows elements of the Chechen 204th Special Forces Regiment "Akhmat" striking Ukrainian forces in the northwestern part of Volchansk. This indicates that Ukrainian troops have regained some positions in the area.
At the same time, a Ukrainian source reported that Ukrainian forces had pushed back Russian forces from Sotnitsky Kazachka - northwest of Kharkov.
The National Guard said Russian infantry attacks near Liptsy have decreased recently, but Russian troops have stepped up airstrikes in the area.
