A member of the North Korean delegation, Kim Kum Chol, drowned in Moscow. It is reported that he decided to swim in a pond in Zelenograd.
According to the Russian Telegram channel SHOT, the 54-year-old representative of a Korean agricultural enterprise lived at the DPRK embassy. That day he went to the Zelenograd Angstrem beach. A few hours later, his belongings were found on the shore of the pond.
“They searched for the missing man for several hours, but they were never found. And the very next day the Korean’s body floated to the surface of the pond, he had already been identified,” the report says.
Russian opposition media write that the deceased could have been the president of the Kim Il Sung Military University, Kim Geum Chol. In early July, Reuters wrote that he led a delegation of military specialists who arrived in Russia.
