The Ukrainian military continues to vigorously oppose enemy attempts to advance deeper into Ukrainian territory. Since the beginning of the day, July 17, as of 22:00, 118 military clashes were recorded at the front.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this. It is noted that the enemy concentrated its efforts on the Pokrovsky and Toretsky directions - in both, as of 22:00, 24 military clashes took place.
Thus, in the Toretsky direction, the enemy directed all efforts to the areas of Northern and New York. At the same time, in the Pokrovsky direction, the Russian invaders concentrated their efforts at Novoaleksandrovka and Novoselovka First.
“The enemy paid dearly for today’s activity. According to updated information, the Russian aggressor lost a total of 304 people killed and wounded. An armored personnel carrier and infantry fighting vehicle of the invaders, a cannon, four motorcycles, MT-LB and five cars were destroyed. In addition, another eight artillery systems, one infantry fighting vehicle and 15 vehicles received significant damage,” the General Staff reported.
Meanwhile, in the Kharkov direction, as of 22:00, 16 enemy attacks were repulsed. 11 of them are near Glubokoe, others are in the Volchansk area. It is noted that the invaders lost 94 soldiers killed and wounded. In addition, 13 artillery systems, four vehicles, an armored combat vehicle and two pieces of special equipment were destroyed and damaged.
In the Kupyansky direction, the Defense Forces repelled 10 attacks by the invaders in the areas of Peschany, Berestovoy, Andreevka and Sinkovka. In the Liman direction, six unsuccessful attempts by the enemy to advance in the directions of Grekovka, Makeevka, Ternov and Torskoye were recorded.
“In the Seversky direction, the invaders suffered losses during seven attempts to storm our positions near Verkhnekamensky, Razdolovka and Vyemka. In the Kramatorsk direction, the total number of enemy attempts to improve the tactical situation increased to four. The battle continues near Andreevka, other attacks were repulsed. The situation is under control,” the statement says. message.
In the Kurakhovsky direction, 12 enemy attacks occurred near Georgievka, Paraskovievka and Krasnogorovka. Three clashes took place in the Vremevsky direction. Enemy assaults fizzled out in the areas of Konstantinovka and Novodarovka.
At the same time, in the Orekhovsky direction, units of our troops repelled 7 enemy attacks in the Verbovo - Malaya Tokmachka and Nesteryanka - Novoandreevka directions. In the Dnieper direction, units of our troops repulsed 3 enemy attacks on the left bank of the Dnieper. In other directions the situation is without any significant changes.
It is noted that since the beginning of the day, the enemy has carried out 43 airstrikes (used 58 KABs) and 605 strikes with kamikaze drones. In addition, the enemy carried out 3,230 attacks on the positions of our troops.
