The “hot phase” of the war with Russia may end this year. The whole world must put pressure on Russia to convince it to come to the negotiating table to end the war.
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky stated this in an interview with the BBC. The Ukrainian leader admits that the war will end diplomatically, not militarily.
“This does not mean that all territories are conquered by force. I think that the power of diplomacy can help,” the president emphasized.
Zelensky predicted that the "hot phase" of the war could end this year if Ukraine's Western allies remain strong. A weaker Russia on the battlefield will put Ukraine in a stronger position at the negotiating table.
“By putting pressure on Russia, I believe that we can agree to a diplomatic settlement,” Zelensky added.
