The defeat of the ferry ship "Slavyanin" in the port of "Kavkaz" affects the military logistics of the Russian invaders.

Military expert, retired lieutenant general, former deputy chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Igor Romanenko spoke about this during the telethon. According to him, this is quite important for the logistics support of units in the territory of temporarily occupied Crimea.

“This means, if you look north on the map, providing support for units of the Russian armed forces on the southern front of the war. Considering that attacks were previously carried out on other ferry ships, they are actually not combat-ready, that’s all that was left there. A combat defeat leads to “that this crossing will not function,” Romanenko emphasized.

He noted that in this way an important logistics route is interrupted for the Russian occupiers. “Taking into account the fact that the Kerch Bridge is also not working at full capacity, this reduces the potential for supporting enemy troops and the potential for conducting combat operations. This is significant, given the situation we have on the eastern and southern fronts,” the lieutenant general emphasized.

He noted that this ferry crossing had a heavy load while the Russians were building the illegal Kerch Bridge. Romanenko stated that Ukraine continues to implement the strategy of isolating Russian infrastructure on the peninsula. We are talking about ousting the Black Sea Fleet and striking military units and air defense systems.

“In the future, this will allow Ukrainian attack and bomber aircraft to operate more efficiently, including taking into account the expectation of F-16 aircraft,” Romanenko added.
