New British Defense Secretary John Healey believes the state of the British Armed Forces is "much worse than we thought."
He spoke about the unsatisfactory state of the national army, exhausted by decades of cuts, Sky News reports. “We now see that these problems are much more serious than we thought,” he said, adding that they are almost everywhere, from the Army and Royal Navy to the Air Force.
“Attrition, profligacy in procurement, low morale, a staffing crisis and veterans who cannot access the services they deserve,” the minister detailed.
In this regard, he promised a “new era” for the UK Armed Forces.
