French President Emmanuel Macron has warned Iran's new leader Masoud Pezeshkian against further supporting Russia in the war against Ukraine.
Reuters reports this, citing a statement from the Elysee Palace. During a telephone conversation, he noted that Tehran should play a role in preventing an escalation of tensions in Lebanese-Israeli relations by ceasing support for "destabilizing players."
The French president called on his colleague to stop the alarming escalation of Iran's nuclear program and comply with the demands of international organizations. He also noted that relations between the countries would improve with the release of three French hostages.
