The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) eliminated a senior Hezbollah commander, Fuad Shukr (also known as Said Muhsin), in a strike on Beirut on Tuesday, July 30.
The elimination of the top militant was announced by Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant on the social network X. Shukr was eliminated as a result of a targeted strike in Beirut. He was the head of the group's strategic unit, a senior military adviser to Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah. According to the IDF, he was responsible for Hezbollah's modern weapons, including various types of missiles and drones.
"Fouad Shukr 'Said Muhsin' has the blood of many Israelis on his hands. Tonight we showed that the blood of our people has a price and that there is no place that is inaccessible to our forces in this regard," Gallant said.
