New fragments of Russian drones were found in the Catalchioi area of Tulcea County, Romania. This happened on July 31 as part of the search for drone parts that fell last week on the Romanian bank of the Danube after Russian shelling of civilian targets and port infrastructure in Ukraine. This was stated in a statement by the Romanian Ministry of National Defense.
According to the ministry, fragments of drones have now been found near the settlements of Plauru and Periprava, Tulcea County.
"As for other areas of impact that were mentioned in the public space regarding the possible fall of drone fragments, such as Niculitsel or Chilia, the investigation did not confirm their presence. We would like to note that all places identified as incident areas are located outside of populated areas where no people or infrastructure were injured," the statement assured.
The Romanian Ministry of Defense noted that they continue to inform allied structures in real time about the situations that have arisen as a result of the attacks and remain in constant contact with them.
"We also reiterate our strong message of condemnation of the attacks carried out by the Russian Federation against Ukrainian civilian objects and infrastructure, which are unjustified and seriously contradict the norms of international law," the press service added.
