Russian troops have failed to repel the Ukrainian invasion in the Kursk region. This is stated in the Financial Times article.

It is noted that since the start of the operation on Tuesday, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have advanced 30 km into Russia. In particular, the troops have occupied the village of Sudzha in the Kursk region near the Russian border.

"We are going deeper," said Ukrainian soldier Denis, adding that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have the advantage, despite the fact that Russia has sent reinforcements.

Another soldier, Konstantin, said that the early success of the surprise operation "really lifted our spirits."

At the same time, a representative of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry said that the details of the operation have not yet been disclosed, since the Ukrainian Armed Forces are "waiting to see how everything develops."
