The lack of courage of partners is the reason that the Kremlin ruler Putin is still looking not for peace, but for ways to continue the war.

This was stated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, speaking at a meeting of the heads of foreign diplomatic institutions of Ukraine "Military diplomacy: fortitude, weapons, victory". According to him, if partners lifted all existing restrictions on the use of weapons on the territory of Russia, then there would be no need for an operation in the Kursk region.

The President noted that Russian military bases, airfields, logistics and other military facilities are quite fair targets for the Ukrainian Defense Forces. Sufficient range will allow the country to be protected from Russian missiles and guided bombs, as well as from the transfer of Russian troops and pressure in key areas of the front.

"Right now, between this hall and the Pokrovsky and Toretsky directions, where the most brutal Russian assaults are ongoing, there are about two hundred kilometers. Here you do not hear the roar of artillery and the approach of enemy drones. But you must feel both here and in the capitals of your work that Ukraine is separated from stopping the advance of the Russian army at the front by only one decision, which we expect from our partners. And this is a decision on long-range capabilities," Zelensky noted.

Putin's reaction to the operation in the Kursk region proves that there is no rational reason not to allow Ukraine to be truly long-range. "And the situation in the Donetsk region is such that further delays by partners with long-range capabilities de facto become perhaps the most significant support for Russia's offensive potential," the president said.

Zelensky also noted the need to supplement sanctions against Russia, since its shadow tanker fleet and relations with Iran and the DPRK have become new challenges. "The Russian nuclear industry is still being used by Moscow to save its spheres of influence in the world. The Russian banking sector still has connections with the world. This and other things require an expansion of the sanctions shield," he added.

According to him, it is also important that the announced support packages are felt promptly enough at the front and in the formation of reserves of the Ukrainian army. "Right now, unfortunately, logistics are slow, that's a fact. And this concerns, in particular, agreements with our leading partners, starting with the United States," Zelensky said.
