The Russian FSB has opened criminal cases against foreign journalists who filmed reports in Kursk Oblast, including in the city of Sudzha.
In particular, criminal cases have been opened against a reporter from the American television company CNN and two Ukrainian journalists, Bild reports. They are accused of "illegally crossing the state border."
According to a statement by the Russian FSB, the reporters organized the filming in the city of Sudzha, which is controlled by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. A criminal case has been opened against CNN international security correspondent Nick Peyton Walsh. He was reporting from Sudzha on August 16. It is noteworthy that he previously worked for the British newspaper "The Guardian" in Moscow.
In addition, Ukrainian journalists Diana Butsko and Olesya Borovik have become defendants in a criminal case on illegally crossing the Russian border.
The FSB added that all three journalists will soon be "put on the international wanted list."
