An oil depot in Proletarsk, Rostov Oblast, Russia, which has not been extinguished for several days, has been attacked by drones again.
As reported by Baza, a UAV attempted to attack the territory of the enterprise today at about 5 a.m. According to preliminary data, no one was injured as a result of the drone crash. According to the resource, the fire at the oil depot, which began on the morning of August 18 after the drone "arrived", has not yet been localized.
There is also a risk that the fire will spread to the kerosene tanks. "There is no official information about a new attack attempt yet," the publication says.
SHOT also reported a new attack on the oil depot. It is assumed that this strike was supposed to "direct" the fire, which the Russians have not been able to extinguish for several days, to the kerosene tanks, which will significantly increase the area of the fire. "At the moment, the fire has not reached the kerosene tanks," the channel notes.
The resource also writes that on the night of August 18, Russian air defense managed to shoot down Ukrainian UAVs over the Rostov region, but the debris fell on the territory of industrial warehouses, causing the diesel fuel tanks to catch fire.
"The refinery has been extinguishing the fire for the sixth day. During this time, 47 employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations were injured, 15 of them were hospitalized. Since August 19, a state of emergency has been in effect in Proletarsk. Governor Golubev previously reported that there was no threat of the fire spreading to residential buildings and neighboring facilities," the resource writes.
