The Russian occupiers were preparing a bridgehead for the deployment of an offensive in the Kharkiv region, but the operation of the Third Separate Assault Brigade thwarted their intentions.
The commander of the Terra unit of the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade Nikolai Volohov (call sign "Abdula") spoke about this on the air of the telethon. "Our two square kilometers are half the trouble for the Russians, and the other half of the trouble is their plans being disrupted. We know that they were preparing a bridgehead for offensive actions. As a result, it turned out that their entire operation, logistical preparation for offensive actions and the bridgehead from which they wanted to deploy to storm us were captured. The initiative was lost. What they planned, and such things are not planned in a day, a lot of management resources are spent on this, was disrupted," he said.
The military man noted that the main burden of war always lies on the shoulders of the infantry, assault and mechanized battalions, as well as special forces. They are the ones who come into direct fire contact with the enemy and liberate Ukrainian land with their own hands.
According to Volohov, the main specificity of the counterattack actions of the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade was that the Russians had a 2.5 times superior force and were in fortified positions. At the same time, it is well known that for an assault it is necessary to have a numerical advantage, for example, 1 to 7 or 1 to 10, depending on the strength of the fortifications. "Not only were we fewer, but they were also very well fortified," he explained.
The commander of the Terra unit noted that the command had done a great deal of work to plan and synchronize all actions and components. He calls this operation a masterpiece: "With such resources and with such relatively insignificant losses. Because any success in war, unfortunately, has its price. But the losses could have been much greater if the command had not organized such coordination and such clear coordination," the military man emphasized.
According to Volohov, their forces are opposed by the 20th Army of the Russian Federation, which has extremely great potential. "They have a lot of infantry and armored vehicles at their disposal, which they can use in battle at will. This includes aviation, which constantly drops guided aerial bombs. During this operation, I will not give exact figures, but many more than 300 occupiers were destroyed," he said.
