Ukraine is working on returning military-liable men from abroad, Poland is ready to help with this. But it is impossible to forcibly return them, emphasized the adviser to the head of the President's Office Mykhailo Podolyak.
"Poland is ready to help. It even started this recruiting project there, voluntarily. We cannot do this forcibly, because the legislation of other countries is clear - if a person has applied, received asylum or is otherwise legalized in this country, no one will forcibly send him to war," he said in an interview with Novosti.LIVE.
When asked whether men are returning voluntarily through the above-mentioned recruiting centers, Podolyak answered in the affirmative. At the same time, he added that "this is a process, and it must gain momentum."
"But it is already good that there are such platforms where you can come. It is especially important for those who want to legalize themselves - not everyone left legally, especially at the beginning of the war. Today there is a certain change in the legislation on the regulation of mobilization processes in Ukraine. Of course, many need to legalize themselves. Some will go through legalization, because someone thinks about their future, about their family, and so on. Again, the question is that many are afraid, but some overcome this fear. And this is a process," he summed up.
