The 917th day of the full-scale war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine has passed. Since the beginning of the day, August 28, as of 22:00, 182 combat clashes with the enemy have occurred on the front.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The occupiers are concentrating their main offensive efforts on the Pokrovsky direction - the situation there is tense. In addition, during the day, the enemy actively attacked in the Kupyansk, Kurakhovsky and Toretsky directions.
"Also, in certain sections of the front, Ukrainian units carried out active actions to improve their position," the General Staff said.
Thus, in the Kharkov direction, Russian terrorists twice unsuccessfully stormed the positions of Ukrainian units in the areas of Volchansk and Liptsy.
The enemy also attacked the positions of the Defense Forces in the Kupyansk direction 23 times. Near the settlements of Sin'kovka, Kolesnikovka, Stelmakhovka and Kruglyakovka, the Defense Forces units repelled 21 attacks. The situation is tense; as of 22:00, two clashes were ongoing.
"In the Liman direction, today, Russian troops attacked Ukrainian defenders 13 times in the areas of six different settlements. Near Druzhelyubovka and Novosadove, the largest number of clashes occurred, three and four, respectively," the report says.
In the Seversky direction, the enemy tried to force our defenders out of their positions in the areas of Belogorovka and Spornoye four times with assault actions. The fighting continues.
In the Kramatorsk direction, Ukrainian defenders have already repelled 11 attempts by the invaders to advance. The enemy concentrated its efforts near Grigoryevka, as well as in the areas of Ivanovskoye and Kleshchyivka.
In the Toretsk direction, where the occupiers attacked the Defense Forces positions near New York, Nelipovka, Toretsk and Druzhba 20 times, 15 clashes have already been completed. The fighting continues near New York and Nelipovka.
"The enemy continues to make its main efforts in the Pokrovsky direction, here, during these 24 hours, the aggressor attacked our positions 59 times. More than half of all clashes took place in the Novogrodovka and Grodovka areas. According to preliminary estimates, today the occupiers in this direction lost 135 servicemen killed and 177 wounded. Three vehicles and an armored personnel carrier were destroyed. Also, the Ukrainian defenders caused significant damage to two more artillery systems and two vehicles," the General Staff added.
Russian terrorists are also quite active in the Kurakhovsky direction. As of 22:00, 30 enemy attacks were recorded there. Half of them were ongoing. The fighting is mainly taking place near Karlovka. The occupiers are also actively trying to advance near Konstantinovka and Georgievka. They are suffering losses.
In the Vremevsky direction, the aggressor stormed the front line of the Ukrainian defense six times in the direction of Ugledar, near Vodyane and Konstantinovka. The fighting continues.
In the Orekhovsky direction, two assaults by Russian invaders were repelled, near Rabotino and Novodanilovka. In the Gulyai-Polye and Pridneprovsky directions, enemy units did not conduct offensive actions.
Meanwhile, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to conduct an operation in the Kursk direction.
In turn, the DeepState monitoring project reports that Russian occupation troops have advanced in Novogrodovka, Toretsk, Mikhailovka, near Pavlovka, Panteleimonovka and Ugledar.
"Today, the Katsaps were mainly preparing for the next mass assault on the Pokrovsky section," the report says.
