As noted by the Pension Fund of Ukraine, subsidies for households in which the average monthly total income has decreased or increased by more than 50% are recalculated twice a year - in March and August.
When recalculating payments to this category of subsidy recipients from August, the average monthly total income was taken into account for the first and second quarters of the current year, which was compared with the income for the third and fourth quarters of last year (it was for this period that the income was taken into account when assigning the subsidy from May 2024).
"If, as a result of the comparison, it is established that income has changed by more than 50%, the amount of the housing subsidy is revised," the report says.
Thus, the assigned amount of housing subsidies for households whose income decreased/increased by more than 50% has changed.
As noted by the Pension Fund, the recalculation is provided for in paragraph 92 of the Regulation on the procedure for assigning housing subsidies, approved by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated October 21, 1995 No. 848.
We remind you that according to the Pension Fund, UAH 35.5 billion was allocated for the payment of benefits and housing subsidies to citizens of Ukraine in 2023.
The state budget for 2024 allocated UAH 49.9 billion for housing subsidies, which is 32% more than last year. It is expected that 3.2 million households will receive them.
