General of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Pavlyuk held a secret meeting with commanders of NATO member countries in Dresden, Germany.

According to BILD sources, the closed meeting of the highest military leaders of 35 countries, mainly from Europe, lasted three days and ended on August 29.

The colleagues were received by the Inspector of the German Ground Forces, Lieutenant General Alfons Mais. Ukraine was represented by the Commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Oleksandr Pavlyuk. The United States was represented by the Commander of the Army in Europe and Africa Darryl A. Williams.

All of them were asked not to tell journalists about the meeting, at which the latest examples of German military equipment were shown.

According to the publication, among the items shown was the Skyranger wheeled air defense system for combating drones. Engine power is 720 hp, maximum speed is 100 km/h, price is 18 million euros.

The 30 mm automatic cannon can shoot down drones within a radius of 3 km, and four Stinger missiles - up to 9 km. This complex has already been ordered by Austria, Hungary and Denmark.

The RCH-155 unmanned wheeled howitzer was also presented: 815 hp, up to 700 km of travel, price is 10 million euros. It can fire while moving at a speed of up to 30 km/h with a range of 54 km and a firing rate of up to nine rounds per minute. The first 54 howitzers will be sent to Ukraine in 2025.

"When we were in Afghanistan, the Taliban had no air force. Now we see in Ukraine that first of all the use of drones has made a huge leap. They are now omnipresent on the battlefield. That is why we all have to counter this new threat from the air," Mays stated.
