Users will receive an electronic account where they can find out tariffs and sign a contract. This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.
"We are taking an important step towards streamlining housing and communal services. We are launching a pilot project of the Unified Housing and Communal Services Platform," he said.
According to him, the system will automate processes, provide accessible and convenient services, improve consumer accounting, and allow better control over the quality of services.
"Users will have an electronic account and will be able to receive all the information about managers, service providers, prices and tariffs, the results of their requests, and will also be able to sign or terminate a contract online," the prime minister said.
Shmyhal said that the platform will be integrated with other information systems, which will ensure data exchange.
"We expect as many communities as possible to join the implementation of this project," he added.
Tariffs in Ukraine
During the war in Ukraine, there is a moratorium on increasing tariffs for gas, hot water and heating, which does not apply to electricity and cold water.
In the Memorandum with the IMF, the Ukrainian authorities allow for a gradual increase in utility tariffs for the population. This will happen "as soon as conditions allow".
The NBU predicts that individual tariffs for housing and communal services (gas, heating and hot water supply) will remain unchanged throughout 2024. However, the difficult situation in the energy sector and the state budget will likely lead to a gradual adjustment of tariffs in the coming years.
