The Russian Iskander-M missiles, which the occupiers are using to strike peaceful Ukrainian cities, contain dozens of Western components. Russia used a similar missile to strike Poltava on September 3.
This is stated in a new infographic from the UA War Infographics project. It is noted that 27 components in the Russian Iskander-M missile are American. Another 4 components are of Swiss origin, two are Taiwanese, and one is Japanese.
"Whether there were American components specifically in the missile that was fired at Poltava has not been publicly reported. But this is a reason to think about how to strengthen the fight against circumventing sanctions. Western components were even found in weapons produced in 2023," the report says.
