The head of the UN nuclear agency, Rafael Grossi, visited the Zaporizhzhya NPP occupied by Russians. In particular, he visited the cooling tower, which was badly damaged by fire last month. According to Reuters, Grossi believes that the structure will have to be demolished.
"Until today, we could not get to this point, high in the tower, so we can assess the damage much better. This large structure is unsuitable for future use, so it will probably be demolished at some point," the head of the IAEA said.
Grossi inspected the pumping station for providing water, which the NPP lacks after the Russians blew up the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station dam last year, as well as the nuclear fuel storage facility.
