In particular, they noted that he was an important partner of the US in traveling around the world to increase support for Ukraine among other countries.
This was stated by Matthew Miller during a briefing.
A journalist asked Matthew Miller how he felt about the changes taking place in the Ukrainian government.
The American official noted that it would be inappropriate for him to give personal assessments of such decisions. However, he reported that US Secretary of State Antony Blinken called Dmytro Kuleba on the phone to express how much he enjoyed working with him over the past few years.
"Foreign Minister Kuleba has been an extraordinary partner of the United States in our work in support of Ukraine... in the fight against Russian aggression, as well as in the work that we have done to mobilize diplomatic support," Miller said.
He noted that in a sense, Foreign Minister Kuleba was the main partner of the United States in trips around the world, which were organized to obtain diplomatic support for Ukraine, as well as to hold Russia accountable.
According to Miller, Blinken and Kuleba always first raised the issue of providing Ukraine with air defense and other means of defense during meetings with other countries. He also noted that both, during their joint work, tried to figure out how to solve specific problems facing Ukraine, which continues to fight Russian aggression.
Miller also added that Blinken expressed his gratitude and friendship to the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, and that he was already looking forward to cooperation with his deputy.
Dmytro Kuleba's resignation as head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry
On September 3, the head of the Servant of the People faction, David Arakhamia, announced that personnel changes were planned in the Cabinet of Ministers. Subsequently, several ministers submitted applications for resignation of their own free will. Dmytro Kuleba was among them.
Meanwhile, RBC-Ukraine sources reported that Kuleba could be appointed to the post of head of one of the important Ukrainian embassies.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that it is too early to talk about a new appointment of the former head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry.
