As noted, due to the worsening security situation, boarding of people on evacuation trains from the Pokrovsk station has been cancelled.
Starting from September 5, the initial departure station for evacuation trains evacuating civilians from the Donetsk region is the Pavlograd station in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
It should be added that the distance between Pokrovsk and Pavlograd is more than 100 kilometers.
The situation in Pokrovsk
Pokrovsk is a frontline city in the Donetsk region. This area has been the hottest spot on the front for the past few months. Most of the fighting is taking place there.
Local authorities have called on the local population to urgently evacuate, as the enemy is approaching the city. Earlier, forced evacuation of families with children was announced in Pokrovsk and neighboring settlements.
Recently, analysts from the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) stated that the Russians had come within eight kilometers of Pokrovsk.
