According to the government decree, the list will be formed on a declarative basis and at the initiative of bus station owners. This mechanism is fundamentally different from the regulation that was in effect until 2020 and actually assumed licensing of this activity.
As noted by the ministry, the relevant legislation stipulates that the movement of interregional and international bus routes must begin and end at the bus station. Therefore, when opening a new route or making changes to an existing one, the transportation organizer must ensure that the bus stations specified by the carrier in the route scheme exist and operate legally.
The updated mechanism assumes that only those bus stations that are on the list can be specified in the route scheme. Thus, the information on the network of legal bus stations will be updated. The updated mechanism will also allow identifying business entities that are their owners and are responsible for the quality provision of services.
The public list is scheduled to be launched in November 2024. Owners of bus stations will be able to independently enter up-to-date information about bus stations into it via an electronic form. In particular, about the number of platforms and ticket offices, the cost of services for carriers, etc.
Recall that earlier in Ukraine, the form of a ticket for bus routes was changed. Now it can be of any form, but have the basic attributes required by law.
The order regulates the concept of the form of an electronic ticket in accordance with the current law on the introduction of electronic tickets on automobile and urban electric transport. An electronic ticket can be on a phone or any other digital gadget and is equivalent to a printed ticket.
