Iran "is making a greater effort to influence this year's election than it has in previous election cycles, and that Iran's activity is becoming more aggressive as this election approaches," said Assistant Attorney General Matthew Olsen, the Justice Department's top national security official.

Recall that on August 11, the Trump campaign said that its computers had been hacked.

A Google report from June 13 said that Iran had targeted about a dozen people associated with Biden, Harris, and Trump as part of a sustained phishing attack. It later became known that the FBI is investigating hackers' hacks of US presidential candidates' campaign headquarters.

US intelligence officials believe Iran is responsible for hacking and attempting to hack the computers of presidential candidates Donald Trump, Kamala Harris and Joe Biden.
