On Sunday, September 15, bad weather engulfed Europe: Austria saw snowfall, unusual for September. Snowfalls in Lower Austria led to the declaration of a state of emergency. At the same time, floods were recorded in other regions of the country, and authorities are preparing for possible consequences. A similar situation is observed in Poland. Despite this, the bad weather did not come as a surprise to Europeans - countries were preparing for climate change in advance, even calling in the army.

In Austria, heavy and prolonged rains led to the breakthrough of two dams, which led to the flooding of a number of settlements. Lower Austria suffered the most, where entire villages were under water as a result of flooding. The situation continues to worsen due to unfavorable weather conditions.
