On the night of September 18, the city of Toropets in the Tver region of Russia was attacked by drones, probably hitting an ammunition depot. Due to a significant fire and detonation, the governor of the region Igor Rudenya ordered a partial evacuation of the population.
As reported by Russian propaganda media, air defense forces continue to shoot down UAVs in the sky above the city. Astra adds that local residents are being evacuated to the neighboring city of Zapadnaya Dvina.
As always, the Russian authorities did not admit the defeat of an important facility. Instead, local authorities claim that "as a result of the fall of UAV debris" a fire broke out.
In addition, explosions were heard in the Bryansk, Smolensk, Tula and Oryol regions of Russia.
