close the windows;
limit your time outdoors;
drink plenty of water;
if you have an air purifier, turn it on to maximum.
Average air pollution level
"As of the morning of September 23, Kyiv and its environs are experiencing a temporary deterioration in air quality. According to monitoring posts of local authorities and public organizations, the current level of air pollution is average," the Ministry of Natural Resources writes.
It is noted that with such indicators, recommendations to limit the time spent outdoors are not mandatory. At the same time, it is necessary to monitor your health.
Reason for the deterioration of air quality
"An increase in the concentration of suspended particles (dust) is recorded. The probable cause of the temporary deterioration in air quality is fires in the ecosystem of the Kyiv region," the Kyiv City State Administration writes.
We will add that, according to the head of the department of the Public Health Center of the Ministry of Health (Ministry of Health) Anatoly Operchuk, the corresponding situation arose for several reasons, namely:
due to the burning of peat bogs around the capital;
due to the warm, dry and windless weather that occurs during September.
