An Iranian "mole" informed Israel about the whereabouts of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, who was killed on September 27.
Le Parisien writes about this with reference to a source in the Lebanese security agencies. That day, Nasrallah attended the funeral of the commander of the Hezbollah drone unit Mohammed Hussein Srour, who was killed in an airstrike. At that time, Israeli F-35 fighters equipped with bunker busters were waiting for him.
After the funeral, the organization's secretary general arrived at his headquarters accompanied by the Iranian commander of the Al-Quds regiment; twelve more commanders came to the meeting.
"The Israeli services waited until everyone had gathered in the room where the Shiite militia plans its military operations, in the headquarters' highly protected basement, before giving the order to bomb. In total, the IDF pilots dropped six bombs, each weighing two tons," the publication writes.
The source calls this attack the largest since 2006 - the explosion was heard in central Beirut, and a 30-meter crater and only debris remained at the site of the strikes.
