There should be criminal liability for refusing to show documents to representatives of territorial recruitment and social support centers.
This opinion was expressed in an interview with Suspilne Poltava by serviceman Ivan Cherny, who lived in Poland before the full-scale invasion, and after February 24, 2022, returned to Ukraine and volunteered for territorial defense, and was subsequently awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine.
Speaking about the TCC and SP, he noted that there should be a certain procedure for what to do in a given situation.
"A person does not show documents, even with the involvement of the police. Okay. Does not show documents, does not want to - detained, criminal liability, immediately. Must explain why he does not show documents. They show her: such-and-such, such-and-such, TCC - how do they do it. They show her documents, they tell her: "Please show and explain why." Does not want - the police detain, criminal liability. Deprivation of liberty or deprivation of absolutely all opportunities in this country," the serviceman said.
Cherny added that everyone remembers their constitutional rights, but not their responsibilities.
"We must protect this country. How am I different from the men here? The same. But we remain part of the Defense Forces, we protect, and something is wrong with them. And they walk around calmly, buy armor. It should be tougher and all this should be under control. Then there will be no bribes, there will be less corruption. And we will have more help." Thus, the serviceman believes, it is necessary to deprive people of the opportunity to buy their way out, give them the opportunity to learn and involve them in defense.
Cherny noted the need to participate in the fight as part of the Defense Forces. "If not, - volunteering, critical infrastructure. There are many places where you can find yourself useful. And not to go, not to tell, not to whine and not to be afraid, first of all," the soldier noted.
He added that war is "not immediately you pick up a machine gun and go shoot somewhere, they shoot at you." According to the serviceman, now in general "it is very difficult to get to shooting battles, because there are a lot of drones, UAVs and various weapons of this type."
"So, please: 2.5 years, we went first, you had time - time to learn, to become a professional, to become useful, to find your place. And not to replace us, there are fewer of us, it is really difficult, but simply to strengthen us. So that in 2.5 years we feel that we are given guys, they themselves come voluntarily, because this is also a very important point," said Cherny.
So, he added, these guys, coming, should be useful, professionals in something and "they do not need additional training." "And this is cool. And we will give them our confidence, our combat experience in return," the soldier noted.
Also, when asked about what role the state should play in motivating people, Cherny expressed the opinion that more training centers should be created.
"The state should follow the example of the Unmanned Systems Forces, the recruiting program of the 3rd assault, Azov. How they do it," said Cherny.
