The Ukrainian Armored Vehicles company and the Czechoslovak Group have agreed on the joint production of 155-mm shells. Production is scheduled to begin in early 2025.
This was reported by the Militarnye publication. It is noted that the parties have signed a corresponding package of documents. One agreement concerns the supply of components, and the other - the licensed production of ammunition (transfer of technology and documents for their production).
The publication clarified that this concerns the production of standard 155-mm high-explosive fragmentation ammunition 155-mm HE M107, as well as 155-mm ammunition with a range of 43 km with the Base Bleed block and 155-mm ammunition with a range of 37 km with the Boat Tail block.
It is also planned to produce other artillery shells and tank rounds according to NATO standards.
The process of preparing the equipment at the Ukrainian enterprise has already begun. As the head of the Ukrainian company Vladislav Belbas said, the production of 100 thousand ammunition is planned for 2025, and more than 300 thousand for 2026.
Some of the ammunition will be produced in the Czech Republic, and some in Ukraine. This will increase production and reduce the cost of shells.
