Over Ukraine, on the night of October 3, the Defense Forces shot down 78 enemy "shaheds", the Ukrainian Air Force reported.
"On the night of October 3, 2024 (from 21:00 on October 2 to 07:00 on October 3), the enemy launched an attack UAV on the territory of Ukraine. In total, the Air Force's radio-technical troops detected and tracked 105 enemy "shahed"-type UAVs (launch areas: Orel, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Kursk - Russian Federation, Mys Chauda - Crimea)," the report says.
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units and mobile fire groups of the Air Force and the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
"As a result of the anti-aircraft battle, 78 enemy Shahed-type attack UAVs were shot down in the Kyiv, Cherkasy, Vinnytsia, Khmelnytskyi, Kirovohrad, Zhytomyr, Poltava, Chernihiv, Kherson, Odessa, Kharkiv, Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk, Rivne and Ivano-Frankivsk regions," the Air Force reported.
It is also noted that one drone flew in the direction of Belarus, and another 23 were locally lost in different regions of Ukraine, probably as a result of active electronic warfare countermeasures.
