The defensive fortifications in the Dnipropetrovsk region are not something unique, and the announcement of information about the strengthening of a particular area works for the enemy, since it immediately adapts its attack tactics. This was stated by the Chairman of the Council of Reservists of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Ivan Timochko on air at Ranok.LIVE.
"Everywhere, to one degree or another, defensive fortifications have been built, both in the fields and in the suburbs, trenches have been dug. I will not say that this is some kind of unique situation, which was mentioned (by the OSINT analyst). And in general, against all the shouting of our politicians, deputies, who really want to come somewhere to some trenches, show and take pictures of themselves on fortifications, I would always leave the topic of the location of fortification capacities outside of attention. Because as soon as such information appears, the enemy immediately begins to adapt its tactics and strategies to it," commented Timochko.
According to him, the corresponding information, in addition to increasing strikes in these areas by enemy aircraft and drones, does not bring anything good. He added:
"On the one hand, we can, of course, discuss this to calm society, say that this is how and so a line is built at such and such a length."
In his opinion, "talking, especially to foreigners, about a specific location on a map with coordinates is a bit of a story." "Perhaps for civilians this will be a guarantee of some peace. But they heard and forgot. But the enemy does not forget, he begins to additionally increase his strike forces in this direction," Timochko emphasized.
