Ukrainian private companies may be allowed to invest in air defense systems that will protect their facilities from Russian attacks.
Member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence Fedir Venislavsky explained in a comment to Obozrevatel that air defense systems will be used by military personnel:
"They will pay increased attention to providing air cover for enterprises that have invested in air defense systems. Private companies are naturally interested in having their business covered."
Reserve Air Defense Colonel Vasyl Login says that ground-based systems will not be installed on the roofs or territories of these companies, since this is simply ineffective.
"Air defense systems, including those for protection against kamikaze drones, are installed at a significant distance, many kilometers from the targets being covered. And thus they cover a certain territory during approach," he added.
