The Russian occupation army attacked Ukraine with attack drones and missiles, in Odessa region 5 people were wounded, civilian infrastructure was damaged. As reported by the Ukrainian Air Force, on the night of October 9, the enemy struck Poltava region with three Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles from Kursk region (Russian Federation), as well as 22 attack UAVs from Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russian Federation, Cape Chauda - Crimea).
Aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units and mobile fire groups of the Air Force and Defense Forces of Ukraine were involved in repelling the attack. It is said that as a result of the air battle, 21 enemy UAVs were shot down in the Odessa, Vinnytsia and Kyiv regions. Another attack drone turned towards Russia.
The consequences of this attack in the Odessa region are now known. The head of the Odessa Regional State Administration Oleg Kiper spoke about them:
"For the third night in a row, Russian aggressors have been terrorizing the Odessa region with attack drones. Our air defense forces destroyed most of the targets. As a result of the attack in the Odessa region, the glazing and facade of a nine-story building were damaged, without further fire. Five people were injured, three of them were hospitalized in a moderate condition."
In addition, according to him, a fire broke out in the attic floor of an unfinished building. The fire with an area of 400 square meters has already been extinguished. The glazing of the building of one of the medical institutions was also damaged.
Now law enforcement officers are documenting the consequences of the crime of Russians against the civilian population of the Odessa region.
