Russia will not enter into peace talks as long as it manages to advance at least one kilometer per week. This opinion was expressed in an interview with Radio NV by Yegor Firsov, the chief sergeant of the strike UAV company.
"I immediately disappoint those who are expecting, so to speak, the end of hostilities, who are expecting peace, some kind of ceasefire: until the enemy has exhausted its resources and until the enemy feels that its military operations are achieving success, the enemy will not stop," he emphasized.
Firsov considers any conditional "signals" from the Kremlin about its alleged readiness for negotiations as a bluff and an attempt to "relax the West" so that it would not have the motivation to give Ukraine weapons in anticipation of the allegedly imminent end of the war.
"As long as the Russians are advancing, even if they are doing it [at a rate of] one kilometer per week, this gives them every reason to understand that they are doing everything right, they need to press, press, press... Keep in mind that they feel: "We will press now, it is not moving well, a kilometer per week, but the moment will come when it will crumble." This is their plan, this is how they think," says Firsov. According to the fighter, Ukraine will succeed only if it fully concentrates on the military component of the war, without relying on any diplomatic agreements.
