Russians attacked Kyiv from the air for over 3 hours: consequences revealed

Russian occupiers attacked Kyiv with attack drones from the evening of October 16 and on the night of the 17th; an apartment building in the Desnyansky district was damaged.
As a result of the attack, window glazing and interior decoration of rooms on three floors were damaged; no information about casualties was received, the Kyiv City Military Administration reported.
"Russian drones approached Kiev in waves and from different directions. Since yesterday evening and during the night, air raid sirens were declared in the city four times; in total, the danger lasted for three and a half hours. In addition to the UAV threat, one of the alarms was related to the threat of the enemy using ballistic weapons," the Kyiv City Military Administration noted.
The department added that all enemy drones that were detected near Kyiv and over the capital were destroyed by Ukrainian defenders. The exact number of destroyed drones will be announced by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Then the mayor of Kyiv Vitaliy Klitschko reported that a small fragment of a drone was found on the territory of a kindergarten in the Desnyansky district:
"The glass in the premises of the institution was broken. There is no other damage or destruction. No victims were found. Also in the Desnyansky district, the fragments of the UAV fell in an open area. There is no destruction or victims."
Later, the Air Force clarified that anti-aircraft missile troops, mobile fire groups and electronic warfare units were involved in repelling the attack from the air. 31 enemy attack drones were shot down in the Kyiv, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Poltava and Sumy regions. 36 enemy drones were locally lost in different regions of Ukraine, probably as a result of active counteraction by electronic warfare systems.
"On the night of October 13... the enemy attacked Poltava and Odessa regions with two Iskander-M ballistic missiles from the Kursk region of the Russian Federation and the Crimean air defense zone, two Kh-59 guided air missiles at Chernihiv and Sumy regions from the airspace of the Kursk region, as well as 68 strike UAVs (launch areas: Kursk, Orel - Russian Federation), - the Air Force added.
