In November 2024, Ukrainians will experience a number of changes. In particular, heating will be turned on, so the total cost of utilities will increase, but some categories of citizens will be able to use the heating subsidy. Also, martial law and mobilization in Ukraine have been extended for another 90 days. What will be the utility tariffs, what changes in the traffic rules from the 1st and what banknotes will be withdrawn from circulation - we tell you below.
Housing and communal services tariffs in November 2024
During the period of martial law in Ukraine, a moratorium on certain utility tariffs is in effect. In particular, it is prohibited to raise the tariff for heating, water and gas. The tariff for other services may increase, but in November they will remain the same for most:
- the electricity tariff will be, as before, 4.32 UAH/kWh, and those Ukrainians who have electric heating will be able to pay 2.64 UAH/kWh until April 30 next year, provided that they consume up to 2000 kW/month;
- the gas tariff - for Naftogaz users is 7.96 UAH/cu.m, other suppliers may have a different cost per 1 cubic meter of gas;
- the water tariff - in large cities it is set by the National Commission (NKREKU), and this tariff remains the same, but in small cities the tariff for the cost of water is regulated by local authorities, so it can change;
- the heating tariff - as already said, cannot change while martial law lasts, and for another six months after.
However, with the onset of the heating season, payment for heating will make up the lion's share of all utilities. But some categories of Ukrainians can receive a subsidy to pay for it.
