Russian occupation forces carried out a massive attack on Odessa region with drones. There are casualties, said the head of Odessa OVA Oleg Kiper.
"Russian terrorists carried out a massive drone attack on Odessa region. There is damage to civilian infrastructure and there are casualties. As a result of the attack by attack drones in Odessa and the region, private residential buildings were damaged, and fires broke out in several," the report says.
One of Odessa's educational institutions was also damaged - its windows were knocked out and the facade was damaged. In addition, due to damage from shrapnel, two gas pipes in Odessa were depressurized and caught fire. Windows were knocked out in a number of buildings.
"We currently know of two injured people: in Odessa and the suburbs. All relevant emergency services are working to eliminate the consequences. The victims are receiving assistance. Law enforcement officers are recording the consequences of another crime by Russians against the civilian population of the Odessa region," Kiper added.
According to the Odessa City Hall, as a result of the night attack, one of the oldest schools in Odessa, Lyceum No. 125, was significantly damaged. It is noted that this school is located in the Krivaya Balka microdistrict. It was completely renovated before the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation. As a result of the attack, the windows were broken, furniture and doors were destroyed, the roof and heating system were damaged.
According to the director of the city Department of Education and Science of the Odessa City Council, Elena Buinevich, the employees of the institution - the guards - are alive. They went down to the shelter in time.
Local Telegram channels report that at the moment there are nine known locations where the consequences of the strikes were recorded. Also, according to unconfirmed reports, there is another victim.
